Ward was born on November 20, 1946, to Joseph Woodrow Garrison and Mary Clystia Hobbs in Mountainair, New Mexico. He married Mary Helen Smith in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1991. Ward was a wonderful minister. He enjoyed hunting, outdoor fishing, reading, going to the lake, spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren, visiting friends, loved ministry and reading the bible.
Survivors include; his spouse; Mary Helen Garrison of the home, daughter; CJ Garrison of Mosquero, New Mexico, and brother; Larry Garrison (Wanda) of Raton, New Mexico, grandchildren; Rebecca Lynn Torrez (Jimmy), Lane Lanier (Dalila), Seth Garrison and Michael Arnold (Cherisse), great grandchildren; T.J. Arnold, Shane Arnold, Niko Forseberg, Makayla Forseberg, Steven Garrison, Scott Torrez, Holden Lanier, Hayes Lanier and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Joseph Woodrow Garrison and Mary Clystia Hobbs, son; Steven Woodrow Garrison, granddaughter; Tristin Corvin, great-great- granddaughter Lexi May Corvin and brothers; Rand Garrison, Bill Garrison, and Ken Garrison.
