E. W. (Woody) Harrison Obituary
Woody Harrison was born May 2, 1939, and went home to the Lord on November 13, 2025. He was born to Ernest Dougher Harrison and Evie Ophelia Lawrence in Dallas, Texas. He married Betty Jo Romans on June 24, 1961. Woody graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1956 where he served as a cheerleader graduating at age 17. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from LSU and a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Texas,
He has 2 adult children, Doug Harrison who is married to Robin Wilson Harrison and D’Anna Freeman who is married to Gary Freeman. He has 6 grandchildren: Allison and Will Harrison, Joshua Cornell, Christopher Freeman, Victoria (Tori) Freeman, and Brooke Freeman-Munoz and 6 great grandchildren.
Woody was a member of FBC Keller for over 25 years singing in the choir for most of that time and occasionally conducting it. He conducted choirs going way back to his time in Libya as well as Baytown, Malaysia and Norway and even practiced conducting from his hospital bed so he would be ready to conduct his heavenly choir, which he is undoubtedly doing.
