Ernest Walsh Obituary
He grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corp and served from 1947 – 1952. Upon discharge, he went to work for Bethlehem Steel at the Fore River Shipyard. In 1961 he went to work for General Dynamics and various shipping companies for 35 years. When the shipyard closed he went to work for the Barnstable School Department until retiring.
In retirement he worked for Hy-Line Cruises.
He was the husband of Barbara J. Walsh (Wilder) for 71 years. He leaves behind two sons, Ernest L. Walsh Jr. (Skip) and wife Pam and Peter E. Walsh. His third son, Donald K. Walsh, predeceased him. He leaves behind six grandsons and four great grandsons.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 1pm, April 9th at the Marstons Mills Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Ernie, Best neighbor ever (beyond you 2), I will miss our conversations over our fence, he will always be a true gem and will be missed, sorry we just found out before services.
