Ernie proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged he worked as the Director of International Logistics for General Motors. He retired from GM in 1992 after 37 ½ years of dedicated service. Ernie was also a devoted member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Birmingham, Michigan, the same church where he married his wife, Lois.
Ernie is survived by his loving son, Peter. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois and his dear son, Mark.
Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 5-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Church, 630 Harmon Street, Birmingham, on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 10am. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, New York.

Our hearts are breaking with the loss of our dear friend and neighbor Ernie. We just took Ernie to dinner and a stage show just before he left to return to Mi. Ernie was highly thought of and regarded in our building, Ocean Towers. We will miss him dearly. Joel and Cheryl Kimelman
