Carol Jean Marks

Carol Jean Marks, of Madison Heights, passed away on October 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on April 12, 1954, in Highland Park, Michigan, to parents Elma and Forrest Reynolds. Carol graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1972.
She was the beloved wife of more than 22 years to Franklin Marks. The two were engaged in Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park and later married in Sedona, Arizona-both favorite destinations they loved visiting with friends on their motorcycles.
Carol was a devoted stepmother to Allison (Marks) Smith, and was predeceased by Nathan and Jared Marks. She was a loving grandmother to Noah and Reed Smith, and a caring sister-in-law and loyal friend to many.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Carol cherished time spent with her family vacationing in Port Austin and creating lasting family memories. A lifelong Detroit Tigers fan, she faithfully cheered on her team through every season, win or lose.
Carol's life was defined by her warmth, kindness, and the special way she made everyone around her feel valued. She will be remembered always and missed deeply by all who knew her.
The Funeral Service will be held at Christ Our Light Church, 3077 Glouchester Dr., Troy, MI on Thursday, October 16th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow.
