Ervin Detjen Obituary

Born in Louisville, Mr. Detjen was a graduate of KY Southern College and University of Louisville. He was a shop teacher at Atherton HS and upon retiring, founded Detjen & Company, designing and manufacturing picture frame mouldings. He traveled extensively in the US, Europe and Asia and enjoyed documenting his travels through photography.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years Ana Isabel "Izzy" Detjen; and his parents Ervin W. and Mary Elizabeth Detjen.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Ervin W. Detjen III (Bridget); grandson R.J. Goben, and dear friend of the family, Ryan Morris.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 3-8 pm at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Rd. His funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the funeral Home with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
