Norm was born on April 29, 1951 in Brookhaven MS to Earl and Rosie Clark. He was well known and remembered for his skills on the football field in high school and graduated from Bogue Chitto High School in 1969. After graduating high school, he joined the Marines and left to serve in Vietnam. He proudly served his country for 20 years and retired in September of 1989. He was an Avionics Mechanic and after retiring from the Marines worked for Eastern Airlines for a few years. He then worked for the Postal Service and retired after 20 years.
Norm loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching college football and NASCAR. Mississippi will always be home to him, so he was a die hard Ole Miss fan. After spending many years in Georgia though, he also rooted for the Bulldogs. Our Yorkies, Gus and Sadie, were his babies, so he spent a lot of time loving on them as well.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Donald Earl Clark; Maternal Grandparents, Jean and Karolina Krug; Paternal Grandparents, Tom and Bertie Clark; sister-in-law, Libby Clark and many other loved ones.
Norm is survived by his wife of 28 years, Pam Clark; children, Chad and Kayla Clark; mother, Rosie Clark; sibling; Jimmy Dale Clark, aunts and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at South Cherokee Baptist Church, 7504 Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA. The service will begin at 12:00 pm.
As a military veteran, his ashes will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery at a later date to be determined.
Norm was very proud of Chad, Kayla and our family's participation in Special Olympics as an athlete, partner and coach. For this reason, in lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Cherokee County Special Olympics.
