Ethel L. Hand of Monticello, N.Y. passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 88.
She was predeceased by her husband Alonzo “Boyd” Hand Sr. and her son Walter Malinowski.
Ethel had a long career in healthcare and was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
She is survived by her children Richard Hand of Woodbourne, N.Y., Joseph Hand of Monticello, N.Y., David Lent of Gilbert, S.C., Earl Schoonmaker of Glen Wild, N.Y. and Karen Cabrera (Steven) of Cape Coral, Florida. Her grandchildren Brett, Steven and Jeff Cabrera, Richard and Krysta Hand, Joseph Hand, Michael Hand and Elizabeth Lent and her many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday November 14, 2025 at 11 A.M. in the Wallkill Cemetery 160 Midway Road Middletown, N.Y.
