Eugene A. Frazier, 91, Topeka, Kansas, passed away on March 25, 2025. Gene was born May 8, 1933, in Mobridge, South Dakota.
Gene grew up in Mobridge, but lived most of his adult life in Kansas, living in Dodge City, Olathe and Topeka. He married Kathleen Buss of Stockton, Kansas on November 25, 1952. Kathleen preceded him in death on October 28, 2006.
Gene moved to Stockton, Kansas as a surveyor for the Corp of Engineers to build the Webster Reservoir where he met Kathleen. After 11 years working in the oil industry, Gene became an insurance adjuster in 1965 in Dodge City. He retired in Olathe from Safeco Insurance in 1995 and relocated to Topeka in 2007.
Throughout his life, Gene had many interests, including reading, model railroading, KU Sports, rodeos, Masonic Lodge and the Episcopal Church. Gene always had a natural knack for conversation, he would talk to anybody and everybody about anything, as he never met a stranger.
Gene loved his family, and they were very important in his life. He enjoyed being a grandfather and was exceptionally proud of all his grandchildren's accomplishments. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Gene is survived by his son, Robert Frazier (Sharla) of Charlotte, North Carolina; daughter, Terry Martinez (Joseph) of Topeka; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Gordon Walther of Puyallup, Washington.
