Eugene Charles Hibner, a cherished member of his community, passed away on August 26, 2025, in Gilmer, Texas, at the age of 81. Born on October 16, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to George and Alice Hibner.
Eugene spent many years at Robroy as a Plant Manager, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.
He is survived by his wife, Laretta Hibner of Gilmer; sons, Chuck Hibner of Leechburg, PA, Michael Hibner and wife Christine of Allison Park, PA, Chris Hibner and wife Allison of Kittanning, PA; daughter, Lisa Link and husband Brian of Wexford, PA; step children, Clint Wimberly and wife Lisa of Pritchett, Sherrie Cook of Gilmer, Cody Montgomery and husband Doug of Gilmer; sister, Mona Grubbs and husband Donald of Tampa, FL; 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Hibner; sisters, Wilda Greaves and Beverly Hibner.
Eugene's memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas at 11:00 AM.
The family requests that memorial contributions can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
