He was born September 9, 1954, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Eugene and Doris (Martin) Kopf.
Dick graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School.
He married Katrina "Tina" Fulks and she survivies.
Dick worked as a machinist for Fairfield Manufacturing for several years before retiring.
Dick enjoyed working on cars, watching racing, NASCAR trips with friends, camping, fishing and monthly Fairfield retirees meals. Dick will be remembered for his response to the question how are you? which was always "Finer than frog hair".
Surviving are his wife, Katrina K. Kopf of Lafayette, a daughter, Brooke Kopf of Lafayette, and a son, Nicholas (wife Aleea) Kopf of Shadeland. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Peyton, Gracelyn and Clayton.
Dick was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Kopf, and 2 sisters, Anna Rogers and Nancy Kopf.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, with Rev. Joseph Park Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Meadow View Cemetery in Lafayette.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dick's name to the Diabetes Association or an animal shelter of choice.

Just found out the sad news that Dick had passed away so sorry for your loss he was one of the best friends I ever had and would help anyone who needed it please accept my condolences and god bless your family
