Corning, New York to parents Fred and Yvonne Swartz. He moved to Brooksville, Florida 13
years ago from Greece, New York.
Eugene graduated from West High School graduate, Class of 1965. Gene retired after 43 yrs. at
Gleason Works (Rochester). He loved traveling with his wife Valerie, spending time with his
family, especially the grandchildren. An animal lover, he cherished his Dachshund dogs Tanner
&Trooper. Gene was the neighborhood socialite who loved meeting new people and making new
friendships.
Eugene is Survived by Wife Valerie (Corlett) Swartz, Children: Eugene Jr. Swartz (Barbara),
Michael Swartz, Shane Swartz (Jamie), Matthew Swartz Sr., Andrea Phillips (Edward), William
Robare Jr., Brian Robare (Maria), Vickie Robare, Shannon Robare (Wayne Baxter). Siblings:
Julia (Swartz) Morse, Lois (Swartz) Greene, Kim (Swartz) Souza, Harry Swartz (Janet), Several
Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Eugene is predeceased by (Father) Fred Swartz, (Mother) Yvonne (Mitchell) Sturdvant, (Sister)
Janet (Swartz) Warrior, (Son) Gregory Swartz.
In Lieu of flowers please donate in his honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

You were more than the man who married my mother. You were also my friend, my confidant, my `other dad´ , and I your daughter. Our dad/daughter relationship will always be sacred and cherished and the love we had for each other will infinitely live on. I will carry you in my heart until I see you again!
