My condolences to the Carter Family for the loss of their dear mother, sister, grandmother. I just heard of her passing. I had the opportunity to work with her when I was Regional Vice-President for Shaw University National Alumni Chapter. She was a very smart and outgoing woman and served as President of her chapter very well. My prayers will forever be with the family.

Remember those school days, when students really learned things. I remember Mrs. Carter fondly as my French & English teacher. The prayer and songs we learned in French. How patient she was that we learned the correct pronunciations. Those things stick with you for a lifetime. She attended the Cooper Class of '58's reunions as long as she physically could. We will miss her, but will always be grateful for the positive influence she had on our lives.
