Evelyn (Lindsey) Grimes Brewster, age 83 of Loudon passed peacefully, Thursday, May 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Evelyn owned and operated Evelyn's Beauty Shop for more than 40 years. Her shop was a haven where many found friendship, encouragement, and a listening ear. She was an accomplished quilter and seamstress, for her, it was never just about a needle and thread. She found joy by mending items as her way of showing God's love and caring for others. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, and Nana who will forever be remembered for her kind spirit and her welcoming personality.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Vesta (Arden) Lindsey; husband, Robert "Bobby" Grimes; brother, Tony Lindsey; sisters, Jenell Morris and Mary McLendon. She is survived by her husband, Roy Brewster; children, Melissa and Bill Shirk, Roger Grimes, Becky and Rodney Webb; grandchildren, Melinda and Andy Bivens, Emily Grimes and fiancé, Gage Parkins, Lindsey and Jordan Feagins, Adam Webb and Denica Fussaint; great-grandchildren, Garret Bivens, Ellis Bivens, and Roane Feagins; sister-in law and husband, Annie Sue and Leslie Sparks; and several nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Services to honor and remember Evelyn will be 7 PM Tuesday, May 27th in the McGill Click Chapel with Brother James Harrison and Rev. Brian Courtney officiating. Interment 11 AM Wednesday in Sweetwater Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday prior to the service at McGill Click Funerals & Cremations, 1366 Highway 72 N, Loudon.
