Born August 3, 1947, in Sumter, he was the son of the late Everett Albert Taylor, Jr. and the late Eileen Mary Toney Taylor. He retired as a high school and middle school teacher after 38 years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years; a son Everett Wesley Taylor; a daughter, Margaret Taylor Palmgren (Carl); a grandson, Jacob Edward Palmgren; and cousins, Shirley Leach Butler (Walter) and Ceceilia Steele.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Maureen Cooper.
A private graveside service will be held.
