Faye Cox, aged 72, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, in her home surrounded by her family.
Born on January 2, 1952, in Huntsville, Faye lived a life filled with grace, compassion, and unwavering love. For 51 cherished years, she was the devoted wife of Burt Cox, with whom she built a beautiful life of partnership and laughter. Together, they raised their beloved child, Nyoka, who was her greatest pride.
Faye found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Meryl and Major, whose lives she enriched with stories and her ever-present warmth. Her family will forever treasure the countless memories made under her loving care.
A lifelong lover of animals, Faye shared a special bond with her dogs and horses, finding solace and companionship in their presence. Whether riding on her farm or simply sitting with her dogs by her side, she found profound peace in their company.
Faye will be remembered for her generous heart, her ability to find beauty in simple moments, and her unwavering devotion to the people and creatures she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Burt Cox; her daughter, Nyoka Martin and her husband Jeff; her grandchildren, Meryl and Major Martin; her three sisters, Ginger Brand, Betsy Sikes, and Kathy Webster; and her four-legged companions who remained by her side until the end.
The family is deeply grateful for the care, companionship, and heartfelt tenderness of her caregiver, Barbara Pinder.
A celebration of Faye's life will be held on a later date.
In lieu of flowers, we request donations to Hospice of North Alabama or the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
