Obituary for Felice E. Regan

Felice E. Regan (born January 28, 1948) of Somerville, formerly of Milton, passed away on August 9, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was the daughter of late Lt.Col. Daniel J. Regan and the late M. Felice Regan. She was predeceased by her youngest brother Briant P. Regan.

From the very start of Felice's life, she exuded grace, kindness, beauty and boundless artistic talent. She graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and embarked on a decades long career in graphic design. Along with college friends, she founded an artists collaborative called The Graphic Workshop. During the 1990's two of her own posters, the Koala and Kangaroo, adorned the décor of well-known restaurants nationwide.

Besides the commercial success of The Workshop, she felt passionate about social causes and animal welfare. One passion culminated in an award-winning Endangered Species series of silk screen prints. Her Giant Panda print was exhibited at the Smithsonian and remains archived in their collection.

Felice was also the best daughter, sister, aunt and friend any family could have had. She was always up for an adventure, i.e., caving, hiking, water sports, and travel. Goodness, did that woman travel!! On many of those adventures "Auntie" Felice would lay claim to one, two or more of her nieces and nephews and say, "let's go!!" No Trespass signs and Do Not Enter signs meant "come right on in" to Felice and her band of merry followers. Each of her nieces and nephews thought she or he was her favorite – and they were right.

As for spirit, hers never wavered. Felice would greet almost everyone with a hearty "Hiya!" and the broadest smile. She sincerely enjoyed being around people, tending gardens with them and just chatting for hours while sewing. She gifted many family members and friends with handmade quilts which will be treasured forever.

For the past fifteen years, she defied the odds and remained independent in her home despite a traumatic brain injury. Her body may have given up; however, right up to the very end, she never did.

Felice is survived by her siblings, Thérèse Regan Benzinger (William) of Virginia, Dennis Regan (Diane) of Maine, Kevin Regan (Patricia) of Maine and sister-in-law, Mary Regan of Oregon.

A private burial will occur sometime this fall. The family deeply appreciates all the support and kindness shown to her and to them. They thank Julie, her caregiver, of many years, for her patience, hard work and loyalty.
