Fernando Hernandez, longtime resident of Chicago's South Side, passed away on February 8, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Cristina Gonzalez Hernandez and cherished father of Fernando (Bree) Hernandez, Rosaura (Gustavo) Gonzalez, Cristina Valadez, Leticia Hernandez, and Elizabeth (Hector) Vega. He was a devoted and proud grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 5. Fernando was a fond brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Rosaura Hernandez.
Fernando enjoyed the occasional Uber trip to the casino and poker game. He had an undeniable poker face and was known as the quiet lucky charm of the family. He was by all means a "movie buff" and liked to listen to la música del trio romántico. His favorite past times included enjoying a cup of coffee with pan dulce, playing video games on his computer, and cheering on his favorite soccer team.
