EN MEMORIA DE FERNANDO LOPEZ TORRES
Con profunda tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido padre, Fernando López Torres, quien partió en paz el 1 de Agosto del 2025, en Laguna Woods, California, a la edad de 92 años.
Nacido el 26 de julio de 1933 en Santiago de Chile, hijo de Inés Torres Ciuffardi y Fernando López Arancibia, fue un hombre de familia cuya vida fue un testimonio de esfuerzo e integridad. Siempre llevó consigo el espíritu de su tierra natal y lo compartió generosamente con quienes lo rodeaban.
Estuvo casado por más de 64 años con nuestra madre, Carmen Figueroa Baeza, hasta que ella falleció en el 2019. Sus Hijos, Fernando, Patricio, y Verónica Lopez Figueroa, junto a nuestras respectivas familias, llevaremos su memoria por siempre en nuestros corazones.
También le sobreviven sus hermanas, Inés López-Lermanda, Silvia López Fuenzalida, Carmen Luz López-Messina y María Alicia López Torres, junto a sus respectivas familias, quienes lo acompañaron con cariño a lo largo de su vida.
Nuestro padre amaba profundamente la naturaleza, el campo y los pájaros. Conocido por su carácter servicial y su constante disposición de ayudar a los demás, será recordado por amigos y familiares tanto en Estados Unidos como en su Chile natal. Su espíritu inquebrantable dejó una huella duradera en todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.
De acuerdo con sus deseos, se llevará a cabo una ceremonia privada para esparcir sus cenizas en el Jardín de las Rosas del Parque Memorial El Toro, ubicado en Lake Forest, California, el 20 de Agosto del 2025.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF FERNANDO LOPEZ TORRES
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Fernando López Torres, who departed peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Laguna Woods, California, at the age of 92.
Born on July 26, 1933, in Santiago, Chile, to Inés Torres Ciuffardi and Fernando López Arancibia, he was a family man whose life was a testament to hard work and integrity. He always carried the spirit of his homeland with him and shared it generously with those around him.
He was married to our mother, Carmen Figueroa Baeza, for over 64 years, until her passing in 2019. His children, Fernando, Patricio, and Veronica López Figueroa, along with our respective families, will forever hold his memory in our hearts.
He is also survived by his sisters, Inés López-Lermanda, Silvia López Fuenzalida, Carmen Luz López-Messina, and María Alicia López Torres, along with their respective families, who stood by him with love throughout his life.
Our father had a profound love for nature, the countryside, and birds. Known for his helpful heart and constant willingness to help others, he will be remembered by friends and family in both the United States and his native Chile. His resilient spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
In accordance with his wishes, a private ceremony to scatter his ashes will be held at the Rose Garden of El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest, California, on August 20, 2025.
