Mr. Finley T. "Terry" Boyd Sr.

Mr. Finley T. "Terry" Boyd, Sr., 74, of Jackson, SC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior and was reunited with "his bride" and "best friend'', of fifty-three years, Gloria Walker Boyd, on Monday, April 22, 2024, while in the comfort of his home, right where he wanted to be.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he and his twin, the late Frank Larry Boyd, were born to the late Haskell John and Ruby O'nita Duncan Boyd. Terry retired from the Medical College of Georgia and had also been previously employed by SRS, Boyd Fence Company, and Boyd Glass Service. A dedicated member of Heights Church, he loved his Lord and Savior and his Pastor, Mark Canipe.
Terry and Gloria had a "storybook" romance that others could only dream of. When you see one, you would see the other. Always smiling and walking hand and hand. Doors were always opened, and chairs pulled out. Terry loved "his girl".
Terry was loved and will be missed by his children, Jason Ronell Boyd and his fiancé, Tammy Rinker, Melissa Janeal Kallas and her husband, Joe, and Haskell James Boyd, a nephew who was more like a son, Frank Boyd and his wife, Cindy, and even though not biological children, he loved Robert and Donna Gladden and Susan Moses and Grady Smitherman, as if they were his own, grandchildren, Skyler Ray, Jonathan Boyd, Mallary McKie and her husband, Dal, Aidon Kallas, Christopher Kallas, William Kallas, Brenden Boyd, Christina Boyd, Erin Cowart and Lloyd McKie, several nieces and nephews, his church family, and countless friends.
Terry was also preceded in death by a son, Finley Terry "T" Boyd and his wife, Christy and a granddaughter, Brianna O'nita Powell.
Friends will be greeted by the family on Friday, April 26, 2024, beginning noon at the Shepherd's Church, 6544 Cobham Rd., Appling, GA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 o'clock at the church. Dr. Mark Canipe will officiate.
