It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fiona Catherine Foster (née MacDonald) on January 16, 2025, at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. She was 52 years old.
Fiona was born on November 8, 1972, in Campbeltown, Scotland, to Catherine "Rene" Thompson (née McLean) and the late James Murray Stuart MacDonald. She was a dearly loved daughter and a much-adored sister to Senga, Maureen, John, and Jimmy.
Fiona is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Megan Foster; her loving husband, Mike Turley; and her stepsons, Michael Sutton (and step-granddaughter Layla) and Thomas Sutton (and step-grandson Thomas). Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Fiona had a zest for life and a heart for helping others. She could light up any room with her infectious laughter and vibrant personality. Her gift for remembering people's faces, names, and the little details about their lives made everyone she met feel seen and valued. She found joy in fishing, spending time with friends and family, and singing karaoke every chance she got. Fiona's warm presence and thoughtful nature left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A celebration of Fiona's life will be held on February 1st, at 1 PM at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, 2002 Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454.
Fiona brought warmth, love, and kindness to everyone she met. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Fiona have a love for Animals so if you wish to make a donation, make it to Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center, www.vbacac.com
