It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Florence Jean Williams, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world on October 29, 2025, at the age of 86. Born in Elm City, North Carolina, on December 17, 1938, to the late Joe and Sally Robbins. Florence lived a rich and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of those around her. She was also predeceased by brothers, JT, Ernest, Dan; sisters, Helen, Frances, Della; and her former husband, Bobby "Bert" Williams.
Florence was a devoted mother to her daughter, Bobbie Kellihan and her husband Shawn, and a cherished grandmother to her grandson, Kevin Kellihan and his wife Misty, and her great-grandchildren, Bryce and Skylar Kellihan. She was affectionately called "Rah-Rah" which was started by Bryce and the name stuck. She is also survived by sister, Faye Taylor. She exemplified love and kindness in all her relationships, and her family will forever hold her memory close.
After raising her daughter, Florence committed herself to the workforce, where she spent many years at Southland Industries before retiring from her position at Norfolk Airport. Her dedication and strong work ethic serve as a testament to her character, and she will be fondly remembered by her colleagues and friends.
A graveside service will be held in her honor on November 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy. Prior to the service, a family visitation will take place at Great Bridge Chapel at 10:00 AM, providing an opportunity for loved ones to share memories and support one another during this difficult time.
Florence Jean Williams will be dearly missed but will live on in the hearts of her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
