Floy Mae (Sheese) Minden, 93, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 6, 2025.
Floy was born on August 29, 1932, to Leslie and Mary (Gilbert) Sheese. She graduated from Joy High School in Joy, Illinois. In 1950, she married Floyd W. Shepherd, and they shared 17 years of marriage until his passing in 1967. In 2003, Floy married Kenneth Minden in Topeka, Kansas. Together, they enjoyed many happy years, especially dancing at the VFW and The American Legion, where they made countless memories with friends and each other.
Floy is survived by her loving husband, Ken; her children, Debbie Magedanz of Peoria, IL, Lori Park of Topeka, KS, and Jason (Cathi) Pullen of Leavenworth, KS. She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd W. Shepherd; her beloved son, David W. Shepherd; and son-in-law, Ellsworth (Elzie) Magedanz. Also preceding her in death were her parents; sisters Wilma King, Lois King, and Irene Brooks; and brothers Charles Sheese, Maynard Sheese, and Daryl Sheese.
Floy's family will forever cherish her memory and the love she brought into their lives. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Midwest Cremation is handling the arrangements. Private burial services will be held at a later date.
