Frances W Brown

Frances W. Brown, age 78, of River Ridge, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home on October 30, 2025.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Frances devoted her life to family, faith, and service to others. A retired secretary from the Jefferson Parish School Board, she was known for her kindness, dedication, and gentle spirit. Frances found her greatest joy in spending time with her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. She also cherished the companionship of her loyal dog, Gunther.

Frances is survived by her loving husband, Stanley R. Brown, Jr.; her sons, Stanley R. Brown III and Steven R. Brown; her daughter-in-law, Stephanie D. Brown; her grandchildren, Stanley R. Brown IV, Shawn M. Brown, Reagan B. Dormody, Reese L. Brown, and Sean R. Dormody; and her great-grandson, Sean P. Dormody.

Family and friends are invited to attend services at Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana, on Friday, November 7, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a Mass. Interment will take place at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Frances will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
