Frances H. Hilliard, 72, of Union Township passed away the evening of June 24, 2025 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Frances was born in New Castle on February 21, 1953 to Joseph John and Violet C. (Ference) Dadejko. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in New Castle.
On December 23, 1972, Frances married her beloved husband, Ronald B. Hilliard. He survives at home.
Frances proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a radioman during the Vietnam Era. She retired as a optical technician from Wal-Mart Eyecare Center. Frances was a member of the Gear Busters Car Club and liked to attend car shows. Frances loved baking cookies for weddings. She also enjoyed needlepoint, cross stitch, crocheting and going to craft shows. Most important to Frances was the time she spent with her family and friends.
In addition to her mother and husband, Frances is survived by her children; Ronald J. Hilliard and Angel Helen-Marie Shaner (Russell, Sr.); brother, John S. Dadejko (Jeanann); sister, Clara Hutsler; sister-in-law, Jean Dadejko; grandchildren, Russell P. Shaner, Jr. (Gretta), and Mercedes Diann Shaner; and great-grandchildren Nova and Hemi.
In addition to her father, Frances was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph M. Dadejko; and infant grand-daughter, Lexus Diann Shaner.
In keeping with her wishes, a Memorial Service for immediate family and friends will be held at a later date at Harmony Baptist Church. Arrangements by Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, Inc. 941 S. Mill St. Inurnment will be at Castle View Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
