Francine Batson, of Republic, MO, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at her home, with her loving family by her side, on May 21, 2025. Francine was 68 years old. She was born in Riverside, California, on December 22, 1956, to Alvus (Jack) and Leora (June) (Leach) Hagood and was one of three children in the home.
The family relocated to Miller, Missouri when Francine was 12 years old. She graduated from Miller high school with the class of 1975. On October 14, 1977, she married David Batson, and they were blessed with two children, Jason and Jessica. Francine worked at IWX Trucking for many years, as both a long-haul team driver, along with her husband David, as well as in their accounting department. She was also a talented painter and piano player. Francine played in several churches in the area, and especially at her church, Blades Chapel. We cannot forget to mention her amazing gardening talents. She was an amazing gardener with a beautifully landscaped yard. She loved to go antiquing and would use her finds in her landscape and her artwork. She was also a great cook.
She is preceded in death by her son Jason Batson, father Alvus Hagood, brother Marvin Hagood and sister-in-law Renae Hagood.
Francine is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, David, daughter Jessica Batson, mother Leora Hagood, mother-in-law Ann Batson, brother Jim Hagood and sister-in-law Lisa, Linda Ruark who was not only Francine's piano instructor, but has become a lifelong friend, and two fur babies, Trouble and Muffin.
