Lifelong resident of Stamford, Connecticut
June 18, 1942 – June 23, 2025
Frank Owen Bateman Sr., 83, a lifelong resident of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, just days after his 83rd birthday, surrounded by the love of his family.
Frank spent his career as a skilled welder and construction worker, and was a proud member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 777. Known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and generous spirit, he earned the respect and friendship of many throughout his life.
He was born June 18th 1942, in Stamford CT a son of the late Francis J and Jane Bateman
He was husband to Sandra Bateman, a loving father to Frank Jr. and Chris (Marissa) Bateman, and a proud grandfather to Owen and Gemma. Frank was happiest outdoors and cherished time spent with family and friends. His kindness, sense of humor, love of pizza, and easygoing nature made him a beloved presence in every circle he touched.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thomas M Gallagher Funeral Home at 104 Myrtle Avenue in Stamford. A funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, at St. Cecilia's Church in Stamford followed by burial at St. John's Cemetery.
Frank's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
