Frank was known for his strong work ethic, the highlight of his career being his successful restaurant venture with his wife Betty, the Early Edition Café in Fort Myers, Florida.
Frank will always be remembered for his generosity, kindness, infectious smile and unmatched sense of humor. He was an avid Phillies, Eagles, and Sixers fan, he especially enjoyed watching the game with his kids and grandkids. His greatest joy in life was his family. He loved the holidays, family gatherings and the yearly family vacations to the Jersey Shore, recently enjoying time in Ocean City, NJ with his kids, grandkids and sisters. He was a loving husband, father, brother, Poppy, and friend who will be missed by many.
The son of the late James McCarney and Margaret O'Donnell, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Elizabeth "Betty" McCarney, his brother Joseph (Rose), and sisters Patricia and Dolly(Alfred). He is survived by his loving children, Leonard, Kim, Frank, Daniel & Kate, Elizabeth, his adoring grandchildren, Jack and Brody, and his sister Rosemary Druce (the late Tom).
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Frank's name to Project Home at https://www.projecthome.org/
A Celebration of Frank's Life will be held on Thursday October 24, 2024 at 5:00 pm at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505 with Fr. Martin O'Reilly officiating. Calling hours will be held on Thursday afternoon from 4:00pm-5:00pm. At the family's request burial will be private.
