Frank J. Bommarito, born to Frank T. and Elizabeth M. (Nee Mang) Bommarito in Battle Creek, Michigan, Michigan. He was raised in Saginaw, where he spent the first half of his life. He graduated from St. Stephen Catholic High School, class of 1970. Frank went onto acquire an Associate in Arts Degree from Delta Community College. Job offers brought Frank and his wife Carol A. (Nee Schneider) Bommarito to Oakland County, Michigan and later of Rochester.
He is survived by his wife Carol of 44 years, and his dear sister Linda Bommarito, along with nephew Brandon (Brianna) Bommarito, grandniece Lena, sister-in-law Diana Bommarito, brothers-in-law Joseph and Dennis Schneider, sister-in-law Doris R. (James) Doepker, godchildren Kristina Albosta and Daniel Doepker, nieces Melanie, Bridget, Dawn, Susan, Rachel and Amy, along with 3 grand nephews and 3 grand nieces. Frank also leaves behind many dear cousins on both his father's and mother's side of the family: Karen (John) Lawler, Rebecca (Homer Nye) Mang, Janice (Brent) Gallagher, Betsy, MaryAn, Peter (Lori) Bommarito, Robert Albosta, Toni (Ken) Skinner, Betsy Connolly and many, many more. He was predeceased by both parents and siblings Samuel T., Michael and infant sister Elizabeth Bommarito.
Frank was a quiet, unassuming man who enjoyed a variety of interests such as attending live theater productions, classical music, early rock-n-roll, spectator sports and classic movies. He had an artistic flare and an eye for beauty and attention to detail, his life's work centered around using the skills he learned as a young boy working at this family's store, Dixie Fruit Market, in Saginaw. His career spanned a number of wholesale and retail grocery businesses, retiring from his last employer (Kroger). He earned the reputation of being a perfectionist in his daily customer service. His customers knew they would get his best ever day at every task and knew his produce well.
Frank was also quietly proud of having sponsored two youths for several years each, through charitable organizations. He loved his dogs, especially our little Beagle-Daschund mix, who gave him joy for 14 years. Frank will be dearly missed by family and friends alike. May He Rest in Peace.

Dear Carol, I am saddened to hear of your husband´s passing. There are no words, however, please know my thoughts, prayers, and heart go out to you.
I have so many good, happy childhood memories with you...and I know you and Frank created years of adult memories together. Hold those thoughts for strength during this journey. God Bless You! Love, Julie Sullivan- Julie Wright

My name is Cher Schafer. I am a first cousin my marriage. I remember my family doing a native America give away at his sister-and brother in-laws house. Frank was fascinated by process. We placed a blanket on the floor and put a lot of household items on the blanket. He was delighted when it was his turn to choose the things he wanted and I will never forget the smile on his face.
