Frank J. Coniglio Jr.

Frank J. Coniglio Jr., 80, of Rockford, passed away on August 7, 2025, at home. He was born in Rockford, the son of Frank and Ella (Valaisis) Coniglio Sr. He married the love of his life, Joan Brodin in 1989 in Rockford. He graduated from East High School and attended Winona State University. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Frank worked for Tool Masters for 21 years and retired from RMG after 12 years. 

Frank was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He had a passion for cooking and baking and loved trying different recipes. He was a generous and loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; loving fur baby, Cody; sister, Barbara Coniglio; brother-in-law, Donald Janssen; and 3 nephews, Robert Janssen, David (Ruthie) Janssen, and Brian (Susan) Janssen. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Ella.

The family would like to give a special thank you to OSF Hospice for their short but great care of Frank.

A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108, with a visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PAWS Humane Society.
