Frank Neal Labbie, beloved son of the late Leon and Elaine Labbie, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2024, in Miami. He was 68 years old. Frank was beloved by his siblings, his brother Dr. Andrew Labbie (Rhonda), sister Joan Labbie Schumaker (the late Nyles), adoring nieces and nephews Robert (Tiffany), Michael, Lauren, Nicole, Jake, Cole, and great nephews Pierce and Jace. Frank was a joy to his family and brought tremendous love into their lives. He will be greatly missed.

Born in Miami Beach, Frank was a true Miami native. Frank had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, always checking in on family members and offering his love and support. He loved his many cousins and growing up in Miami his many relatives called him "Frankie". His warm, kind spirit and devotion to family made him the heart of many gatherings. He enjoyed holidays gathering and was an integral part of celebrations with the extended Ginsburg Family. He enjoyed many outings with his brother Andy, on his trips to the hospital, helping with magic shows or eating at Lester's diner. He enriched our lives through his kind spirit. Family truly meant the world to him and he let you know how deeply he cared about you.

Throughout his life, Frank faced medical struggles, but he handled them with incredible dignity and grace. Despite the challenges he endured, he approached each day with strength and resilience, never allowing his health to define him. He was a kind gentle giant who never raised his voice or got angry.

A lifelong learner, Frank was a Bar Mitzvah and was Confirmed at Beth David Congregation. He graduated from Coral Gables High School, where he played trumpet in the marching band. He went on to Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri where he studied biomedical engineering and was a member of the ZBT fraternity. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Florida International University. Frank's passion for education never waned, and he continued to take courses in a Master's Program in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.

Music was one of Frank's greatest loves, growing up he just loved listening to the radio. He had an extensive collection of vinyl albums. He attended countless concerts in South Florida, and whenever he was in the car, you could hear him singing along to his favorite tunes. His love for music was a reflection of his lively spirit. The Rolling Stones, Bob Seger and the Marshall Tucker Band were some of his favorites. Music was his joy and his escape, and it brought him happiness throughout his life.

Frank also had a great appreciation for food. Whether it was an everything bagel with nova, a hot lean pastrami sandwich, the ginger salmon at Joe's Stone Crab, or a ribeye at the Capital Grille, meals with Frank were always an enjoyable experience-filled with conversation, laughter, and a shared love for the simple pleasures in life.

Frank was especially excited about the upcoming NYC wedding of his niece, Lauren to Otto Leinsdorf this coming March. He had been eagerly anticipating the celebration, and his absence at this special occasion will be profoundly felt by his family.

Frank's kind and caring soul and his comforting expression of love will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. He was known as Uncle Frankie to all and his unique sweetness was evident to all. The joy he brought to our lives will never be forgotten and he will live in our hearts forever.

Graveside Service will be held Thursday, December 12 at 2pm at Mount Nebo Cemetery 5505 NW 3rd Street Miami. Shiva 5 - 8pm at the home of Dr. Andrew & Rhonda Labbie in Coral Gables.
