Frank E. Morton, 93, of Carmel, Indiana passed away peacefully February 22, 2025. Frank was born February 11, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Frank graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1950 where he played basketball and was a city champion pole vaulter. After high school he served an apprenticeship at Weimer Typesetting where he eventually became the President and owner. Frank retired from Weimer in 1996 with the sale of the company.
One of Frank’s joys was being a husband and he served as a great example of loving well. He was married to Nancy (Snyder) Morton for 32 years and Susan (Crisler) Morton for 40 years. Frank also cared for his family well and laughing was a part of most conversations.
He was generous and enjoyed sharing good food, wine, jazz music and candy with family and friends and could be frequently found cooking at the grill. He also enjoyed traveling and living for many years in Ft. Myers and Naples, Florida. Frank loved graphic design and had fond memories of serving a term as the President of the Indianapolis Art Director’s Club.
Frank and Nancy were founding members of King of Glory church in Carmel. Later Frank and Susan attended Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.
Frank was proceeded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart Nancy (Snyder) Morton, his second wife, Susan (Crisler) Morton, his parents, William and Helen Morton, and his brother William Morton.
Frank is survived by his children Vicki (Tom), Linda (John) and Frank Jr. (Dori).
In addition to his three children, he is survived by Susan’s daughters Cathy, Mary Beth (Don), and Amy.
He is survived by his eleven grandchildren: Emily (Jake), Samantha (Jeton), Frances (Phil), Hayden (Angela), Brennan, Jenna (Jeremy), Christopher, Kiley (Alex), Mitch (Suzanne), Alec and Lauren (Kyle). Frank is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 am at Flanner Buchanan - Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive, Carmel, IN, 46032. Visitation will start at 10 am. Internment of his ashes will follow the service at the Crown Hill Mausoleum.
