Frank Peabody IV, 64, passed away on August 3, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 26, 1961, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Frank leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, humor and unwavering love for his family.
Frank built a remarkable career as one of the most detailed and talented builders of his time. His work was known not only for exceeding client expectations but also for its enduring quality-projects that will stand the test of time as a testament to his skill and dedication. His peers and coworkers deeply admired him for both his professional excellence and his ability to bring levity to any situation. Whether on a job site or in conversation with colleagues, Frank's wit and warmth left a lasting impression.
Frank loved fiercely and honestly. His devotion to Susan and their children was evident in every aspect of his life. He approached fatherhood with heartfelt sincerity and pride, cherishing every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. His home was filled with laughter-often sparked by Frank's quick wit-and love that radiated from the bonds he nurtured so deeply.
A lifelong dog lover, Frank raised and trained several dogs over the years. He had a special gift for connecting with animals and never hesitated to welcome loved ones' dogs into his home as if they were his own. His compassion extended beyond people to all creatures he encountered.
Frank will be missed dearly by those who knew him-his family who adored him, friends who cherished him, coworkers who respected him-and by every life he touched through kindness or craft. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder of a life lived with integrity, humor, and love. At the heart of Frank's life was his family. Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Rand Peabody; his father, Frank Peabody III and stepmother Julie Peabody; his sister Kim Peabody; his son Frank Peabody V; his daughter Carolyn Peabody; his stepson Stephen Stein (Tiffany); stepson Hunter Hampton and grandchildren Vada Avery Peabody, Jack Peabody, Bentley Stein and Roman Stein. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Avery Peabody and sister Alex Hammerick.
