Frank William Roessler, age 81 of Hudson, passed away on October 6, 2022 at the Baldwin Care Center. Frank was born on the family farm in Canton Township, WI on April 19, 1941 to Frank J. and Agnes (Radle) Roessler. Eventually his family moved to Hudson where Frank graduated with the class of 1959. Following high school, Frank joined the Army National Guard where he served for 4 years before being honorably discharged. Frank then worked as a press mechanic for Ball Corporation in St. Paul. On November 22, 1972 Frank was united in marriage to Nora (Zimmerman) DeLoy at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson. Together they raised four wonderful children: Brian, Kelley, Tim and Todd. After retiring, Frank and Nora moved to their lake home in Spooner, WI where they enjoyed pontoon boating and spending time with family and friends. Frank taught his children and grandchildren how to swim in Lake Tozer. Sadly, Frank lost the love of his life and best friend when Nora passed away in November 2014.
Frank and Nora relished family gatherings and holidays spent with their children and siblings. Above all, Frank loved being with Nora and spoiling her. Frank spent a lot of time putzing in his yard and tinkering in his garage where he built decorative garden wishing wells and plant hangers out of scrap pieces of wood. Frank also had a passion for growing flowers. He was an avid outdoorsman and went hunting and fishing whenever he could. He cherished his annual deer hunting trips with his sons Brian and Tim and his brother John. Frank also enjoyed trips to Duluth with his grandson Joe where they would go hiking and look at the fall colors. Frank also liked to watch the Brewers and cheer on the Packers and Badgers. Frank truly cared about others and made friends wherever he went. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Frank will remain in the hearts of his children Brian (Carrie) DeLoy, Kelley (Dale) Dahlke, Todd (Mary) Roessler; daughter-in-law Bonnie DeLoy; grandchildren Joseph, Justin, Scott, Michael, Garrett, Courtney, Stephanie, Corrine and Jacob; many great-grandchildren; daughter-in-heart Barb (John) Rawlings; siblings Joan (Tom) Socha, Jan (Jon) Schneewind, John (Gayle) Roessler, Karen Roessler, and Donna (Patrick) Hayes; sister-in-law Edyth Zimmerman; brothers-in-law Leonard Grygiel and James Bechel; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frank is preceded in death by his beloved wife Nora, son Tim DeLoy, parents Frank J. and Agnes Roessler, and siblings Anita Grygiel, Joyce Bechel, Barbara Jean Roessler, and Robert Roessler.
