Frank John Rogalski

Frank John Rogalski, age 94, of Lake Forest, IL passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024. Born in Chicago, IL on February 17, 1930, to parents, Frank and Lotti Rogalski. Frank is survived by his wife, Jeanie, of 70 years and children, Karen, Ken (Sheryl), Kathy Fox, Kim (Erik) Howes, the late Krissy Cavazos (1990) and George (Rose) Cavazos, and grandchildren Joseph, Diana, Mark, Anthony, Jessica, Shea, Tate, Sarah, Rachel and Olivia. Frank grew up in Chicago and graduated from Lane Tech High School in 1948. During his high school years, he founded a softball team named The Rebels and made lifelong friends with his teammates. The Rebels played ball at the local Field House in Chicago where he met his future wife, Jeanie. Frank graduated with a BA degree from the University of Illinois and was called to duty in the US Army during the Korean War and served at the Air Force Base on Okinawa. Before shipping overseas, Frank came home on leave to marry Jeanie in 1954. After Frank returned from service, he and Jeanie moved to Franklin Park, IL to start their family. Frank made his career in insurance and founded a successful agency during his career. The family moved from Franklin Park to Park Ridge and then to Northbrook. After Frank and Jeanie's children were grown, they moved to Lake Forest and quickly became active in their community and local church, the Church of St. Mary. Frank spent many years volunteering alongside his wife as a Eucharistic Minister on Sundays at the Church of St. Mary and ministered to patients at Lake Forest Hospital. Frank will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, kind father with a great sense of humor, successful businessman, talented athlete and avid golfer. Visitation at church will start at 9:30 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2024 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest.
