After a long illness, Frank Visconti passed away in Sarasota, FL on March 19, 2025, at the age of 59. Frank was born in Chicago, IL on June 6, 1965 to Salvatore "Sam" and Maria Visconti. He was raised in Highwood, IL until the family moved to Lake Forest, IL where he spent most of his formidable years. Frank attended public schools in both Highwood, IL and Lake Forest, IL.
As a child, Frank worked at his father's restaurant. His father, Sam, taught him every aspect of running a successful restaurant including how to prepare a delicious meal. This is where Frank's love of cooking began.
After high school, Frank opted to continue working for his father at their restaurants both in Sarasota, FL and Highwood, IL.
Frank was a visionary. He was determined to share his family's traditional Sicilian recipes and import the finest Italian products to distribute nation wide. In honor of his parents and his love of Sicilian cuisine, Frank founded several companies and stores. He created his own brand "Visconti Foods" with his company R&V Italian Food Imports. His products were distributed nationally in stores. His determination, passion, creativity, and relentless attention to detail were the cornerstone of his success.
Recently, Frank moved to Florida to be closer to his beloved daughter, Jessica, his father, and his family in Miami, FL.
While Frank worked very hard, he lived life to the fullest. He loved to travel. He drove his beautiful RV throughout the US. He shared many trips to Disney World and camping with his daughter, Jessica. He would often visit his extended family in Sicily, California, and Florida. Frank loved cooking and sharing his love for Sicilian food with his family and friends. He enjoyed hosting parties, holidays, and special family events; any excuse to be surrounded by the people he loved. Frank's life was enriched by the love of his family and friends. Nothing made him prouder than his family. His greatest accomplishment in life was his daughter, Jessica. He had an impact on the lives of many. Frank truly had a heart of gold and a sincere and genuine interest in people and their life experiences. He quietly helped and encouraged many friends, family members, and coworkers to achieve their dreams and helped many do so in any way he could.
Frank, a devoted and loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend is survived by his daughter, Jessica, his father, Salvatore "Sam", his sisters Alessandra (Carlos) and Nella, his nieces, Amanda (Jose) and Nicole, his nephews David and Johnny, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Frank is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Maria.
Frank will be laid to rest with his mother, Maria at Ascension Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Frank's name to the charity of your of your choosing.
