Frank C. Zachmann, 90, of St. Michael passed away peacefully on May 3rd. He
was born to Benno and Bernadine (Wey) Zachmann. He was raised on the family
farm. He was drafted during the Korean War and served for two years in Germany.
He married Catherine Illies on June 28, 1958, and they were blessed with five children. He worked hard delivering beer to earn a living, and used the deliveries to meet many friends and make others laugh. After retirement he worked at Auto Showers Car Wash in St. Michael. He was a common man with an uncommon sense of humor. He loved to tell jokes, and entertained us all with the jokes & storytelling. He loved his wife, family, dogs and the town of St. Michael.
He is survived by his wife Catherine; and their children, Charlene (Chris) Jensen, Sharon (John)
Hite, Bonnie (Gary) Host, Rick (Kathy) Zachmann, Heidi (Jon) Gaslin & special
niece & goddaughter, Trudy (Dan) Anselment; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren;
and many loving family & friends. He greatly appreciated the care he received by all the nurses, doctors & health care providers over the years.
Visitation Tuesday, May 9th 4:00-8:00 PM with prayer service at 7:30 pm. at the Peterson
Chapel, St. Michael. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday May 10th
at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior at the St. Michael Catholic Church.
