A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Fred Joseph Douzart will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Pineville, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Douzart, 85, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the V. A. Medical Center, Pineville, LA.
Fred was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was very creative and a craftsman. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. He also loved playing the acoustic guitar, telling jokes, and listening to country and western music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Fred J. Douzart, Jr. and Dennis Douzart; his father, Clovis Douzart (Juanita); his mother, Edwina McCormick (Thomas); and four brothers, Ted Dauzart, Curley Dauzart, Alvin Dauzart, and Cleveland Dauzart.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one son, Darrell Grantham of Pineville; four brothers, Belton Dauzart (Kathleen) of Pineville, Harvey Fountain of Pineville, Martindale Douzart of Pineville, and Tommy Douzart of Pineville; two sisters, Brenda Fay Mayeux (Daniel) of Pearl River, and Maxine Mayeux (CJ) of Pearl River; and many other family members and friends.
A time of visitation will be held Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Pineville, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.
