Honored to serve as pallbearers are Terrance Douzart, Jack Voorhies, Cainen Douzart, Paul Mahfouz, Peter Mahfouz III, and Guy Gremillion. Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Douzart, Gavin Douzart, and Desmond Douzart.
A Visitation will be observed on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Gordon Wayne Douzart, age 70, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, entered eternity peacefully at his residence in Lake Charles, Louisiana, surrounded by family, on Sunday, August 18,2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Curley Douzart and Audrey Crooks McCann; his siblings, Irvin Douzart, and Gayle Douzart Morton.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 38 years, Carol Sue Droddy Douzart; his children, Terrance Douzart (Melisa), Jamie Douzart (Rebekah), Mandy Voussine, Dusty Voussine ( Laurel), and Travis Kelso ( Loutessa); his grandchildren, Teran Douzart, Desmond Douzart, Cainen Douzart, Adrianna Douzart, Gavin Douzart, Eden Douzart, Kainen Hadnot, Kassidy Hadnot, Kennedy Voussine, Ada Voussine, Ana Voussine, and Gracie Kelso; his 6 great grandchildren; his faithful companion and fur baby, Izzy; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, members and friends.
Born on March 11, 1954 in Alexandria, Louisiana, Gordon was a 1972 graduate of Pineville High School. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing; and was a huge LSU and New Orleans Saints fan. Above all, his passion in life was spending quality time with his family and his friends. a wonderful and dedicated husband, Gordon will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
