Freddie Teresa Vines-Dismuke

With deep sorrow but hearts full of love, we announce the passing
of our beloved mother, Freddie Teresa Vines-Dismuke,
affectionately known as "Reese."
She departed this life on August 6, 2024, at 8:24 p.m. in Chicago,
Illinois. Though the official notification of her passing reached us
on February 8, 2025, her spirit had long been at peace, embraced
by the eternal love of our Lord and SaviorReese was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, by her devoted parents,
the late Fred and Gloria Vines. Growing up in a home filled with love,
she developed an unwavering spirit and a heart that gave freely to others.
She was a mother to her three children: Isaac E. Vines, MBA, PMP; Alicia
Teresa Vines; and Terrell Dismuke. Her love and legacy live on
through her granddaughter, Jania Jashay Vines, and her great-granddaughter, Gabriella Vines.
Family and Loved Ones
Reese is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Gloria Vines, and
her dear sister, Patricia Brown.
She leaves behind a loving family to
cherish her memory, including her siblings: Pauline & Duane
Whitfield, Nadine Hicks, Sylvia Vines, Steven Vines, Kevin Vines,
Luther Vines and Mattie Caldwell, along with a host of nieces,
nephews, extended family, and friends.
Reese had a giving heart-she would give the shirt off her back to help
someone in need. And if you ever saw her without a shirt, just know
she had just helped someone lol. She was known for her infectious
laugh, love for music, and ability to light up a room with her presence. To
know Reese was to experience the raw, unfiltered truth of who she was-
fiercely independent, strong-willed, and full of lifeA Legacy Carried Forward
While many of Reese's personal aspirations remained private, her
greatest accomplishments are reflected in the lives of her children.
Isaac E. Vines earned a Bachelor's degree in Technical
Management from DeVry University, a Master's in Business
Administration (MBA) from Kaplan University, and achieved the
prestigious Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Alicia Teresa Vines, a certified beautician, has pursued a career in
beauty and haircare, turning her passion into a profession. Her
daughter, Jania Vines, is currently working toward a degree in
nursing at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, while raising
her beautiful daughter, Gabriella. Though we may not know the
current journey of Terrell Dismuke, he remains in our hearts and
prayers, forever a part of our family's story.
Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025 at Carl E Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Doors will be open from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
