Frederick R. Schneeman, 83, of Pittsburgh and most recently of Harrisburg, passed away the morning of June 12, 2025.
Fred was born April 12, 1942 on the North side of Pittsburgh. He served as a medic in Vietnam with the 11th Armored Cavalry "The Blackhorse" and was a proud American.
Fred met the love of his life Marley W. Schneeman while working for the Alleghany County Health Department. They were married on September 12, 1968.
Fred earned his degrees from Edinboro University and later Slippery Rock University. Fred then served as a beloved teacher at North Hills School District. He influenced many young lives coaching Junior High track and wrestling. He enjoyed the Steelers, traveling with family, fishing, fellowship with other believers, and especially being a granddad. Fred was a man who lived his Christian faith, serving in many capacities but mainly as a teacher to all ages. He was a member of North Hills Christian Church, Pittsburgh and New Hope BIC Church, Harrisburg.
Fred is survived by the love of his life Marley, his beloved daughter Carrie Wise (Daniel), and his most loved granddaughter Elizabeth Wise.
Fred will be greatly missed, but friends and family will temper their grief in the knowledge that he is with his Savior.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Road,
Harrisburg, PA 17110. Burial with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
