Fysal A. Safieh

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fysal Safieh, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born on March 5, 1947, in Syria, Fysal was the eldest of six children - a natural leader whose strength, compassion, and sense of responsibility shaped not only his own family, but everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Fysal's life was defined by love, integrity, and quiet wisdom. He built a beautiful life alongside his devoted wife, Valerie, who together shared 51 years of marriage, laughter, and unwavering love. A proud father to Desiree, Sean, and Fysal, he poured his heart into guiding his children with patience and example, instilling in them the same values of hard work, kindness, and humility that he lived by every day.
"Pop-Pop" - as he was affectionately called - cherished his role as a grandfather. His six grandchildren, Julian, Olivia, Michael, Jack, Katie, and Noemi, were his greatest joy. He spent his time with them, watched their sporting events, celebrated their achievements, and left them with the enduring memory of his warm smile and gentle spirit.
Fysal's life journey carried him far from his birthplace, but he never forgot his roots. He carried with him the traditions and warmth of his Syrian heritage, blending them beautifully into everyone he touched. His presence was a calm anchor - steady, wise, and deeply loving.
He will be remembered not only for his devotion to family but for his generosity and loyalty, his laughter, and the strength of his character. Though his physical presence is gone, the legacy of his love lives on - in the family he built, the lives he influenced, and the countless moments that will be cherished forever.
Fysal's memory will remain a blessing, a reminder that a life lived with kindness and purpose is a life that never truly ends.
A Memorial Visitation will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Home, 418 Route 6 (GPS US-6), Mahopac, NY.
A private Family Remembrance will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
