Gabriel Nicholas Nagy

Gabriel Nicholas Nagy, passed from this life the morning of December 24, 2025 at the age of 75. He was born in Stuttgart, German on New Year's Day 1950. Both his parents were of Hungarian descent and very proud of their heritage. They immigrated to American when Gabe was a year old.

Gabe is survived by his loving wife and friend, Valerie Nagy. Their forty-seventh wedding anniversary would have been on December 29. Gabe was a devoted father to Gabriel (Diane Kelly), Michael and Christopher. He is also survived by his only sibling, Kathy (John). He loved and enjoyed his family immensely. He was a devout Catholic man with a quiet strength. Gabe was a man of sterling character and throughout his life volunteered.

Faithful and hard-working, Gabe worked for General Motors in the computer department. He then transitioned to Beaumont Health as a lead dispatcher. Gabe was a man of integrity with a deep sense of humility. He was kind, caring, gentle and sensitive to others around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Livia. After Livia's passing, Gabe had the blessing to have a much loved second mom, Eva. His life was a true gift. Our family is deeply grateful to God to have known him as husband, father, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation Sunday, January 4 from 2-6 pm with a scripture service 5 pm at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd., (4 blks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak. Funeral Monday, January 5. In-state 9:30 am until time of Mass 10 am at National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica.
