Gabriel Salazar-Lopez

Gabriel Salazar Lopez, born on July 15, 1987, in La Noria, Guanajuato, Mexico, left this world on January 21, 2024, in Greensboro, NC. He was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. Gabriel's age at the time of his passing was 36 years old.
Gabriel was a hardworking individual with a passion for residential flooring work. His dedication and skill were evident in every project he undertook. However, his true joy came from spending time with his family, especially his cherished children. Gabriel's smile was infectious, and he had an innate ability to bring laughter and happiness into any room he entered.
Known for his playful nature, Gabriel delighted in playing jokes on others, always finding a way to brighten their day. Those who had the privilege of knowing him considered themselves blessed, as his genuine kindness and selflessness knew no bounds. Gabriel was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation.
Music held a special place in Gabriel's heart, and he found solace and joy in its melodies. His laughter was contagious, and his great sense of humor brought laughter to those around him. Gabriel's positive energy and zest for life were truly remarkable, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Gabriel will be deeply missed by his parents, Elvira Lopez Gonzalez and Jose Antonio Salazar. He is also survived by his loving children, Cristian and Victor, and his brothers, Jose A. Salazar-Lopez, Jr., Angel Salazar-Lopez, Omar Salazar-Lopez, Jonathan Salazar-Lopez, and his partner. Countless other family members and friends are left to cherish his memory.
Services to honor Gabriel's life will be held as follows: a funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2024, at 12 PM in St. Mary's Catholic Church, located at 1414 Gorrell Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. Prior to the funeral mass, a visitation will take place on Tuesday evening, January 29, 2024, from 6-8 PM at Triad Cremation and Funeral Service, located at 2110 Servomation Road, Greensboro, NC 27407. Interment will follow the service in Lake View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Sandy Hook Promise, an organization dedicated to preventing gun violence and promoting safer communities.
Gabriel Salazar Lopez's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit, love, and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
