Gail Louise Cartee, 88, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 26, 1936. She grew up in Rossville, Georgia and graduated from Rossville High School. Gail lived in Atlanta, as well as, Woodstock, Georgia while working in the insurance industry prior to retiring. She moved back to Rossville where she has resided for the past several years. Her faith was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She maintained her sense of humor up until her final days. She loved animals and always had dogs and/or cats in her life to bring joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben Earl and Clara Pauline Cartee; sisters, Clara Ivalee Smith; brother-in-law, Chester Conrad Smith; sister, Norma Jean Fite; brother-in-law, James E. Fite; and infant sister, Patricia Diane Cartee. Survivors include her niece, Keri (Terry) Chambers; nephew, Kevin (Jennifer) Fite; one great nephew and three great nieces; several cousins and many loving friends. Also, her beloved dog Dutchess who was her constant companion for several years up until her illness. Her niece and nephew, Keri and Kevin, would like to thank the loving staff at Gentle Hands private care home in Chattanooga along with Hearth Hospice for caring for her every need and keeping her most comfortable in her final days.
