Gail Marie Halada, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, surrounded by family after a long brave battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was 80 years old. Her kind heart and generous spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she met, and she will be deeply missed. Born Gail Marie Williams on September 25, 1944, in Poughkeepsie, New York, she was the youngest of two siblings born to Leslie and Mary Williams. From a young age Gail was known for her unwavering positivity and love for education and helping others. Her passion for writing poems, making flower arrangements and creating crafts to give to others, bringing a smile to their faces will always be remembered. Gail was very involved in the church as a member of the Secular Franciscan Order and was a teacher and Director of Religious Education at many Catholic Churches in the area. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, John R. Halada; her children, Kim Marie McGinnis (& husband Charles), Kathryn Halada Munn (& husband Jeffrey) and Jeffrey John Halada (& wife Tina); her eight beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Alexander, Aaron, Norah, Austin, Lauren, Jenna and Ethan and her two great grandchildren, Addison and Anniston. She also leaves behind countless friends who were touched by her kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Mary Williams, and her sister, June Meres. A celebration of Gail's life will be held at Saint Michaels Church in Cary, NC at a later date.
