Gale E. Clay passed at the age of 73 in his home on July 30th, 2024. Gale was born to the late Tommy "Delbert" and Norma Clay (Ladd) on November 2, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Gale graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1969. It was there he met the love of his life Brenda (Davis) Clay and they were married March 24, 1969 and they were married 55 years.
Gale opened his own automotive sales business called Genesis where he worked for 30 years until he retired.
Gale enjoyed traveling to Mexico, scuba diving and OU Football but above all he loved his family. Nothing was more important than family.
Gale is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Norma; and two brothers, Benny Clay and Tommy Clay. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Clay; son, Randy and his Wife Dawn Clay; grandkids, Adara Morris and Anthony Morris, Kayla Clay; and great grandsons Benton Morris and Everett Morris. Also his dog Harley.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM at the Barnes Friederich Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life will be Monday, August 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM followed by the burial at 12:00 PM at Blanchard Cemetery with Scott Ryan officiating.
