Gary Stewart Buchanan

Gary Stewart Buchanan, age 85, of Clyde Township, passed away peacefully at his home in Dade City, Florida on February 1, 2025. Born on December 9, 1939, in Port Huron, Michigan, he was the cherished son of the late Alexander and Bertie (Kenyon) Buchanan.
Gary served his country with the United States Marines and then had a fulfilling career as an electrician, dedicating many years of service to Mueller Brass before his well-earned retirement. Beyond work, Gary was a man of diverse interests and simple pleasures. He had a passion for playing golf and was a member of the Port Huron Elks Lodge 343. Baseball was another of Gary's joys. His adventurous spirit led him and his beloved wife, Linda to travel extensively in their RV.
Gary's love for a good time was often marked by riding his trike, camping trips, playing golf, and the simple pleasure of having a beer with friends. In his honor, those who knew him can remember him by raising a glass to celebrate the good times they shared.
He is survived by his nephew, David (Carol) Sharrard of Port Huron and his good friends, Gary and Penny Osburn and Terry and Kathy Sumpter all of Port Huron. There are many other dear friends that will remember him fondly.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lee, who passed away on June 18, 2024.
A celebration of Gary's Life will be held in February, with details to follow. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery next to his wife.
