Gary Robert McAndrews Cummins of Mead, Washington, 86, passed away on August 15, 2025. He was born on November 30, 1938, in Spokane, Washington, to Caroline Louise McAndrews.

Gary graduated from Springdale High School and then joined the United States Air Force, where he served faithfully for over 30 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He had a passion for planes, cars, trains, and tractors, and could fix them all.

In 1965, Gary married the love of his life, Alice Lyn Koch, and they shared 60 beautiful years together. Gary and Lyn raised seven children: Richard Cummins (Linda), Aaron Cummins (Michelle), Sandra Raven (Rush), Robert Cummins (Julie), Scott Cummins (Dusti), Jay Cummins (Jenn), and Quila Bright (Scott). He was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Gary never met a stranger and was always happy to engage in conversation with everyone he met. Gary had strong faith in Jesus Christ and served in many positions within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his beloved wife, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his best friend, Harold Craig, who was the brother of his heart. Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Caroline McAndrews Anderson; his stepfather, Harry Anderson; his grandmother, Mira Scott Cummins; his father, George Cummins; his sister, Sandra Hipple; and his brother, James Cummins.
