Gary Thomas Gunn, a beloved brother, father, grandfather, and friend of many, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, in his home of Sheridan, Indiana, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on October 29, 1956, to Thomas and Maurine Gunn, Gary's life was marked by dedication, service, and the warmth of his loving personality. Gary grew up in Noblesville, Indiana, alongside his older brother Donnie Gunn, and attended Hamilton Southeastern High School, graduating in 1975. Gary later established a prominent and distinguished career as a laboratory technician and Supervisor. Gary's professional life was characterized by his meticulous dedication to his work, serving IDI Industries for 34 years before his well-earned retirement. In his retirement, Gary enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren. Gary was a man with a quick wit, remarkable humor, and a talent for storytelling, making him delightful company to all who had the opportunity and privilege of interacting with him. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Maurine Gunn. Gary's memory will be honored by his surviving family. He is survived by his brother, Donnie (Peggy) of Anderson; his Children, Shawn of New Castle and Ryan (Brandi) of Sheridan; his grandchildren, Evan, Jamison, Alexis, Natalie, and Austin; and his nephew Todd (Kim) of Perkinsville. Services to celebrate Gary's remarkable life will be held on August 9, 2024, with public visitation at 11:00 am, and Funeral Services at 1:00 pm, which will take place at Indiana Funeral Care in the Hary W. Moore Chapel. Burial services will follow at Westfield Summit Lawn at 2:30 pm, where Gary will be laid to rest alongside his parents. The service will include heartfelt tributes by Christopher Suder and any family members who wish to pay tribute to Gary's life. Gary Thomas Gunn's Life was a tapestry of dedication, love, and service. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
